Pretty Unexciting

Not much going on... Jace has strep throat AGAIN. He just had it 2 months ago. Ugg! He has an appt. with the specialist next week to see about getting his tonsils out.... seems like every few months he has some kindof infection in his throat.

Ry was diligently watching TV yesterday when an infomercial for a hamburger cooker came on... he got so excited and ran in and told me "Mom... you have to have that cooker. There is no flip, no flop and no mess." And when Josh got home last night he told him all about it too... even using there slogan again. It is to bad kids can't buy that stuff cuz they really buy into it. I remember my nephew LOVED to watch infomercials when he was little... he would sit through the entire thing.

Had to go get glasses today.. ugg! I had LASIK done 10 years ago and I am just now starting to have issues when I drive. As of right now I only have to wear them when I am driving,

We also picked up a present for my Super cute nephews 1st b-day party on Sat. I can't believe he is 1.... we really hope to get to go but with the kids being sick it is not looking very good.

And that is about all the excitement in my life right now.

A great fundraiser

We had our annual poker tournament fundraiser last night for the Homedale Youth Sports. IT started at 6 pm and ended about 2 am... there was about 120 people there and it turned out really awesome. Other then having to deal with a seriously drunk brother and brother in law it went over really well.... and even the drunks weren't too bad once we made them go home, lol. We ended up bringing in $8100.00 in just the few hours we were there with the small amount of people that were there. I was shocked we did so much in such a short time but am very excited so many people turned out to support the kids. Even the "drunks"!

A lot of little things

I haven't had to much to blog about... I haven't had a whole lot of "blog worthy" things to post about lately. I have been sooooo busy with the Homedale Youth Sports fundraiser we have coming up this weekend and we had baseball sign ups last week. I have been designated as 2nd in charge of concessions this year (the whole season... March-July) and I think it is gonna be alot of fun but I am gonna be busy (not to mention Josh and I will be coaching t-ball again this year). They are training me this year so I will be fully in charge of it next year which will be even busier. I have also been checking into volunteering for the Animal Shelter 1 day a week. I wish I could do it more but until the boys are in school FT I already have a really full plate.

Jace got to go skiing again with his Uncle last weekend (I am so grateful that his Uncle is taking the time to be with him and teach him to ski... we are really blessed) and today I took the boys to Givens Hot Springs... which was alot of fun (camera was dead) but way to many kids there.

I have been working on getting a vacation together for this summer. I want to take the kids to the coast for a week but I would really also like for just Josh and I to go somewhere for a few days since it will be our 10 year anniversary this year. I have yet to decide where to go though...I really want to go to Vegas but we have been there and I would like to find somewhere new. Plus trying to get our big camping trip scheduled around all the Youth sports events is gonna be tough but we will be going sometime :)

So that is about it... I have been so busy just nothing really worth blogging about on a day to day basis.

Jace goes Skiing

On Saturday Jace got to go skiing with his Uncle for the 1st time. He was so excited he couldn't sleep the night before. I didn't get any pics of him skiing because I knew his Uncle would not have time to take any. He took my son, his own daughter and my nephew.... he is a brave soul. Jace came home and it is all he has talked about since... he had a great time. He said he went down the bunny hill 3 or 4 times and then was at the top skiing like a pro.

Rylan was really mad that he couldn't go but we told him when he was 5 he would be able to go to. So Josh took him to the gun show in Boise while I went and got an 1 1/2 hour massage... that was the best 1 1/2 hour I have had in along time.

What will 2009 bring?

I like looking forward to the new year... it makes me sad that years fly by so fast and before I know it my kids will be grown and gone but it is also exciting seeing all the new changes they make every year. So what will this year bring? I have a few ideas...

- Jace will start 1st grade (I cannot believe it)
-Ry will start his 2nd year of preschool
- I will turn 30
- Josh and I will celebrate our 10 year anniversary
- We will def. be camping and boating as much as possible this summer.
- I do not plan on going back to work FT in the near future
- We need to finally decide if we want that 3rd baby... the kids are getting older and I am certainly not getting any younger
- We are going to start breeding our dog this year... should be a fun new business adventure
- This year I am a board member with the recreation board so I will be very busy this summer with all the baseball going on

I hope for a great year and hope everyone stays healthy!!!

Happy New Year

We had a great New Years Eve... just went to my in-laws with the boys, had a yummy dinner and stayed up and watched the ball drop. The boys were so excited... they had noise makers and hats and Ry had the party all planned out. He said when it turned midnight we were to all line up behind him and march down the stairs where aunt Julie was to play the drums and we were to dance. I think he thought that we would party the night away with our hats and noisemakers and dancing cuz he was really mad when we said it was time to go home at 12:30.

Today we are just staying home and having a lazy day. Getting ready for the boys to go back to school. I am really sad that their Christmas break is already over.... we have had so much fun these past 2 weeks.
