Update... and State

We have been busy, busy, busy!  Like tonight we have an evening at home with nothing to do...we haven't had one of those on a weeknight in at least 5-6 weeks!  I am so excited for tonight :)  Jace has been wrestling and playing baseball, Rylan will start baseball in a couple of weeks, just as Jace is getting done with his. 

A couple of weeks ago we went to state wrestling in Idaho Falls and Jace ended up 5th in his bracket, there was 13 to start with.  we were so proud of him!  he wrestled the hardest he had done all season and he had to wrestle some really tough kids from all over the state.

We got our pigis for 4H and Jace named them Rosie and Tilly, they are so cute!  I will have to post some pictures.  We are looking forward to fair week this year, always such a fun time!!

I am done with school this week, just finals left and then I am done until August!  Somehow between everything else we have going on I have maintained my 4.0 for another semester!!!  I am taking some pretty tough classes in the Fall so we will see if that GPA continues :)

We recently aquired a new car and I cannot wait to get it out of the shop and start driving it, the boys think it is the coolest car ever... it has a DVD player in it :)  Below is a picture of it....

Happy Birthday Rylan!

My baby is 7.  I can't believe it has happened, but it has.  Rylan is such an amazing little boy and he brings so much joy to our lives!  I never know what is going to come out of his mouth next and it usually makes me quite nervous, he defenitely keeps me on my toes.  He knows what he believes and no one is going to tell him differently.  He goes with his heart and not what is popular... he is quite a kid.  He loves, loves, loves his little cousins and he is so good to them!

We did not do a friend party this year because when we sat down to make his list there was about 25 by the time he was done, he couldn't bear to cut 1 person out and I don't have a house or a vehicle big enough for 25 so he chose to not do one so no one's feelings got hurt because they couldn't come.  See, the kid has a heart the size of Texas!  So, I wanted to make sure he got an extra special birthday from us.  Friday he got to go to Texas Roadhouse, Saturday we went to Wahooz and Sunday we had family over.  He had such a great weekend!!  I sure do love this little guy.....

5 years?!

I cannot believe I have been blogging for 5 years!!  I am so happy I started it and have stayed on top of it (for the most part).  I LOVE to go back and read the stories I posted about, I am always amazed at how much I forget.  When I go back and look at the pictures and read the stories it seems like it was a life-time ago and it seems like it was just yesterday.  It makes me smile (and sometimes cry) to go back and read the past.  Thank you to my special friend Beth who got me interested in blogging and who's first blog I ever read!  Here is to 5 more years of blogging!!

Our night downtown

Last FridayJosh surprised me and told me that Saturday night we would be staying downtown Boise at the Owyhee Plaza.  WHAT?!  Who is this man and what has he done with my husband?!  I was so excited that Josh was planning something like this.  I know how much Josh loves me, he proves it to me everyday but this made me feel really, really good!  We ended up eating at The Melting Pot (not that good) and hitting a couple small bars for drinks and just wandering around downtown.  The next morning we ate at the most amazing little dive called Goldy's (def. one place to try in your lifetime) and had such a wonderful time!  Thank you Josh for such a great weekend!!

Women with Bait

This last weekend I headed to Riggins and went steelhead fishing for the Women with Bait tournament.  It was so, so, so much fun!!  We fished all day Saturday and I even caught one that was 23 inches!  Our whole boat landed 10 total, with a 33 incher being the biggest.  We had so much fun I already have a boat booked for next year.

The month of January

We have had a lot going on but nothing huge I felt I need to blog about.  I started school again on the 17th and am taking 9 credits this semester... Algebra, Ethics and Communications 101.  I really, really like my Ethics and Comm class, algebra is just so darn boring!  If all goes as planned I should be able to apply to the Nursing program next January.  YAY!

Jace has been doing Judo and really loves it.  He had his first tournament on Saturday and ended up taking 4th out of 13.  We were very proud of him.  Wrestling starts this week and then baseball next month so I think we will stop Judo until next Fall.

Not much else I feel the overwhelming need to blog about.  My life is about to get very, very busy!  Wish me luck!
